Spades is a trick taking card game played with two teams of two partners. Cards rank from deuces low to ace high. At the beginning of each round the players must bid on the number of tricks they believe they can take in the round. The individual team member bids are combined (unless one player bids Nil) and the team must take the total number of tricks bid, or they will be penalized by 10 points per bid. If the team hits their bid they receive 10 points for every trick bid, and if they go over, they receive 1 point for every trick that has exceeded their bid. For every trick that has gone over, the players also get a "bag" and if the team receives a total of 10 bags in a game, they are penalized by 100 points.

In Spades, the suit spades is always trump. The trump cards can not be lead until spades are broken. The spade icon in the top right corner of the game screen appears to be broken when spades have been broken, and whole when spades has not been broken. The first team to reach 500 points wins the game.

This game is NOT a gambling simulation. It is intended to be an entertaining diversion, not a simulation of casino games.
