Triple Play Jacks or Better Video Poker is a
Video Poker game that allows the player to play up to three hands at once.
When you begin, you are dealt a single hand. The cards in this hand you
choose to hold are held for all the hands you have chosen to play. When
you then draw replacements for your discards, new cards are dealt to you for
every hand. Triple play is an exciting version of video poker, although
statistically it is the equivalent of playing on three different video poker
machines at the same time. This version of Triple Play video poker has a
Jacks or Better pay table.
Jacks or better Video Poker is one of the most liberal games on
the floor of the Casino. Jacks or Better is probably the easiest type of
Video Poker game to learn and master. When you play Jacks or Better Video
Poker, the computer deals you 5 cards out of a randomly generated deck.
You may choose to hold or discard any or all of the 5 cards you have been dealt,
and you will be dealt cards to replace them. The goal of Jacks or Better
Video Poker is to hold a hand that has a minimum value of a pair of cards that
is at least a pair of Jacks. If you have a hand that is "Jacks or Better",
you will receive a payout based on how good your hand is. Although pay
tables vary from casino to casino (and often from machine to machine within a
casino) a typical Jacks or Better pay table will offer you a payout of 1 for a
pair of Jacks or Better, 2 for two pair, 3 for three of a kind, all the way up
to the highest payout, which is for a Royal Flush.
