In Beleaguered Castle Solitaire, the four Aces are placed in the center of game play as the foundations. The player must build these foundations up by suit to Kings. The remaining 48 cards are dealt into 8 piles of 6 cards, with each foundation having a pile to it's left and right. Only the top card in each of these piles may be moved, and can be used to build down the other piles without regard to suit. When all the cards in a pile have been removed, the player may start a new pile in it's place with any card he chooses. The player wins when all 52 cards in the deck have been moved to the foundations.
